I endorse Andrew's mindset. You have been accused. You are not guilty. You were "given a break" because the officer is so kind? I don't think so. Why is he so anxious to give you a "break"? Is it because the heinous crime which you are alleged to have commited is not provable and is only in his mind? He could have claimed he saw you "go for a gun in your coat" and shot you dead on the spot. But he didn't do that. You're lucky he didn't do that and should cease driving and pay a fine for the next ten years to the officer's relief fund for almost tempting him to shoot you, you mean evil person. Get real. Do your homework. For how long did this kind officer visually estimate your speed prior to raising the radar speed measuring device and measure your speed? Was this device calibrated properly? When? Was this officer certified to use this device? When and by whom? And so on and so forth. Ever see something and then realize what you saw wasn't really what you saw? Welcome to the human race. Get real. Contest this citation. It is a revenue raising exercise. You weren't at the claimed speed in the zone claimed by the citation. I have been stopped by a cop who claimed I "cut in and out of traffic and sped" after he turned around to give chase and had to cut in and out of traffic and exceeded the posted limit to catch up to me, and I had been behind a poke the whole time going the speed limit in town and neither of us had changed lanes. The cop simply transferred his actions to me. When I pointed this out he let me go. Get real. Think like Andrew advised. And take Sharkskin's advice by doing your site analysis and homework. He gave you a "break" because he wants you to fear contesting the insult. Contest it. Unless you actually admitted to traveling 60 mph through the toll booth. Did you do that? That is absurd. But if you admitted it, well...........good luck.
