Default TEMP CONTROL

It seems that my temperature control has no in between. It is cold at the left, but move the lever a hair & it goes to all out hot! Any ideas what may be causing this problem before I try to pull apart the center console?

Thanks!

Take a look at http://www.928gt.com/T-WallyHVAC.aspx.

If you can, get a vacuum tester and check lines running to the heater valve, as well as those going to the 3-way junction under the airbox on the driver's side. So too, you can remove the console side panel in the driver's side footwell and check vacuum on each line there.

Checking the integrity of the temperature sensor behind the front fender on the driver's side may help as well. Just a few ideas to get you started.

Peace and Good Luck.
