Door Panel Speaker Wiring and upgrades
Whoever designed the wiring system from the body to the door is a genius!
Threading a new speaker cable through the wiring 'tube' was one of the easiest wiring jobs i've ever done on a car door speaker.
I went with some Infinity Kappa 40CS in the doors, The PO kindly left some Focal Polyglass 165 CV in the rear panels, and I have an old set of MB Quart something or other 210's for in the hatch area that I might use.
All to be powered from a 4ch Alpine MRP-F240
I have a 10" CDT Audio Minibox subwoofer for in the hatch area too. Looks pretty decent, with cast chassis. Only needs a 0.45 Cubic foot box! Will be powered off a bridged Alpine MRP-T220
I'm going to use an old Pioneer HU with a pretty decent internal active X over set up that i'll install to control it all.

Focals are some pricey speakers. Hopefully their quality is as high as their prices. When putting it all together, it might be worthwhile to take a look and see if the PO properly hooked them up. I've known several "audiophiles" who have been seemingly unable to properly install component speakers.

Yeah, i'll be rewiring them when I move onto doing them, because they are powered from the headunit at the moment, probably through the stock harness.
They sound pretty good when the engine is off. When turned on, you cant hear them for bwahhhh! Hence the adding on the seperate amps!
