Default Silver 928 w/ black wheels?

Does anyone have pictures of a Silver 928 with blk wheels?

There is a set of blk carrera S wheels for sale, I wondered if it would look good on my car.

Or, can someone Pshop the wheels on my car?

Thanks,
Chris

Thats always been the plan for me, but a darker silver. Thats a good price for those wheels by the way.

This is what i was going to do to mine. Paint the spokes on my Rivas Black and leave the polished lip. There is enough black trim on the car along with the rear spoiler where you can get away with it. Im not sure about ALL black though..may be too much?

The price is $1300

The fenders wont need rolling I hope, if it does require rolling, I wont put them on.

What size tires go on a 19 Carrera S wheel? 225/ 285?

That's what I thought about doing to mine for a long time- silver with black rims. The prostock look we call it. But seeing the pic Tony posted, now I'm not too sure anymore???

I agree.

You should leave at least a contrasting rim - otherwise your car would look like a test mule... I would say the rim does not necessarily have to be polished or silver, as long as there is a significant contrast.

This looks great, Tony!

I've never been a fan of those 'lobster claw' wheels.

To maintain the understated elegance of your silver metallic 928 I'd recommend an OEM 5-spoke in silver metallic finish, not chrome.

I don't like the polished rim. A black wheel looks great on black cars, but it has to be a shiney or metallic black with enough brilliant, to, as my wife says, not look like a spare.

Default Rims

I've posted some of these pics before. Although my car is granite green metallic, and the rims aren't exactly black. I know, please don't flame me LOL. Wrong color car, wrong color rims.

The rims were powder coated with a three step process. A very bright metallic silver was laid on first, then a translucent black, and then a deep clear. The color was called "Black Chrome" in the catalogue and just looked like a black square in the book. I took a chance and picked it. It turned out different than anything I have seen before. I have recieved great compliments on the color. Photo's do not catch the morphing effect of the color.

All black is all wrong, on any colored car. A contrasting rim makes all the difference in the world for avoiding the spare tire look.

The car has to be dark, and the wheels have to be BIG and SHINY to pull off an all black wheel. It can work and it can look great (RDS 928).
