Is it just me or does the new Callaway Vette in today's AutoWeek, Letters section, look remarkably like a modernized 928 clone? At least in the profile shown. If any tech savy Rennlisters can post the pic, you'll see what I mean! (they call it "drop dead gorgeous" - it's that rear end for sure!)

Is that supercharger driven off the rear end of the crankshaft? I was thinking the exact same thing with my auto. There is lots of space. Just need to be able to change the belt with as little trouble as possible. Interesting!

No the supercharger is driven off the main Acc. belt.... there is a pulley at the front righthand side then a drive shaft to the rear then 2 pulleys and a belt....
These are Magnuson superchargers I believe.... or at least very similar in design....
see http://www.magnusonproducts.com/ for details

The back end with just the two taillights and those kind of flying butress things around the rear glass look suspiciously like the Ferrarri 599. Too suspicious...

Well, if we have to judge the design as less than optimal, let's try to continue to
ignore the 616-hp / 582-lb-ft.
Damn Chebby.
