Replacement window switches
Actually, Chris fabricated these switches for my car (the 84 S supercharged in my avitar); they are lit; they work all the time, and there is no problem activating the sun roof and rear wiper. The switches require slightly more pressure to operate than the stock 928 switches (that is, when I wasn't pounding them to try to get them to work); they are definitely more heavy duty and I doubt I will have any of the same problems I constantly had with the 928 switches - which I replaced several times. The only "drawback" is that they are a bit higher off the console and I do feel them when I am shifting - but I have a 90 GT transmission w/linkage and shifter which is lower than the stock 84 shifter - the height does not interrupt either the use of the switch or the shifting, but it is unusual to feel something when you are shifting into 1st, 3rd and 5th ... I love 'em and Chris did a fantastic modification. Its real hard to get a good picture of them lit up at night, but, trust me, they are lit, easy to see and work all the time every time.

I'll trade switches.

As for Heinrich's finger foul up, I believe the 928 designers intended that as a sobriety check. One too many schapps and you self-administer a shower on the way home...

LOL those that know me know that when I drive either fast, or in a spirited fashion, I don't hear, see or think about anything external to the road, other traffic, the car and myself. I don't hear music, I don't see a naked chick in the passenger's seat, I don't wonder how Snowy my cat is doing and I don't sip my coke. So, for me to press a switch to close a sunroof or window at speed, and have a rear wiper come on, is a distraction I would rather avoid.

I think it was just Hans & Franz screwing it up one afternnoon after a lengthy lunch at the Bierkeller...
Franz: "where should we put the rear wiper switch?" - Hans: "ahh who cares...."
