I've thought about doing this. Maybe in the future I'll drop the L-jet system or switch to an adapted system like this.

I'll be switching my 79 CIS to either the EuroS EFI system or an aftermarket setup such as autronic before I add any boost.
how would it have to be changed, hacker?

IIRC John uses an off the shelf MAF sensor (no idea the brand) and a voltage box made by split second. The voltage box takes the signal from the MAF sensor, translates it to a signal the L-Jet computer can use.

So, assuming I'm not missing anything here, not very expensive. Could be a pain to get working if you don't know what you were doing.

I believe its only $339 + the MAF. It used to be cheaper. I don't know if that includes the MAF or not.

Its the PSC1-009 Pro. Sig. Cal. AFM to MAF HV Output . www.splitsecond.com

So you can't read Swedish? Ha ha! He turned the boost up later, but I haven't seen any charts. As far as I know he broke one of his pistons after a while. It may have been because of lack of an IC, far from perfect air distribution in the intake(he reported problems with that) or both. As far as I know he used the car on track several times with 16psi and no IC. But he runs a full programmable EFI. He actually works with EFIs: http://www.civinco.com/referens.html

Was he trying to blow it up? I'm suprised it lasted that long.

Yes I know. I think he was doing the same thing as the guy that started this thread, checking to see ithe engine could handle it. I think he has redone his system with a IC now. He has done a lot of modifications to the car through the winter including fabriating a new glassfibre front. I am not sure what he has done with the engine though.

Back on the original topic, is anybody planning on mounting a twinscrew to a 16v motor?

Thanks Ian, I had somehow missed the pictures.

Pretty interesting design...

I like his "first start" album, I hope all that smoke is from the tires.
