Question Just bought a 1981 Porsche 928! Need help!

Hi, I am new to this site and new to the Porsche 928. I have had Porsches before, just never a 928. Anyway, the guy I bought the car from has given me free 19x8.5 Porsche turbo twist rims. I am hoping someone here can tell me what size tires would be good for this car and also what size spacers (if any) I will need..

Thanks in advance guys

Sell them! I have an '81 and those wheels (if real) are worth as much as your car probably.

17" looks large on 928, Porsche officially says not to use 18", and with 19" to get the speedometer correct (if even possible) your sidewall is going to be tiny, which will make for a lovely ride wherever it is that you live.

(13-15" was a standard wheel in the 70's, 19" wheels were uninmaginable 15 years ago.) For the record I do know it wasn't the seventies 15 years ago, lol.

While some of the sharks use 19's, they are going to be problematic in many states with poor roads.
In MI, 18's are risky, 17's are great. Post some Pic's when you get a chance. Good luck, Mac
