What's the "Best" performance chip for my '87 928 with refreshed '93 GTS motor?

Grayson, welcome aboard! Do you know about "Sharks At The Lake"? It's right there at northshore in June. Here the link to the info: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=318701

Hope to see you there!

I woud suggest that unless you want to tune for your specific car - just run stock GTS chips. I don't think I've seen any dyno data that says any aftermarket makes any appreciable difference on a GTS - did I miss something here?

If it were me I'd be looking at a better flowing exhaust system before chips.

Okay, as it stands right now the car is being assembled at Sporthaus in Reno. The engine is not yet back in the car... To be honest I've never wrenched on the car myself although I've owned it since 2001. I'm not much of a mechanic ( to put it mildly) nor - until recently - did I have anywhere to even work on the car... The first few years the car was serviced by DEVEK (Jim Murphy mainly). Then when he and George started Akkurat (now defunct), a few years ago, I had them work on the car quite a bit. Once they went kaput I've had Dolf and the guys at Sporthaus work on it. So, anyways, I haven't done anything with the car's "brains" - still has the S4 stuff. I certainly need some good Tuning advice as the car will be back together again in a few weeks (finally!) after months of being in pieces...

oh yeah- I guess it would help if I told you what else was on the car...duh.

Yeah, I do have a custom exhaust fitted to the car. The car was dynoed (with refreshed S4 engine at that time, a rising rate fuel reg., fat headers from 928INTL - stage ? um, dunno "stage fast" - and a few other goodies) as I said car was dynoed at DEVEK by Marc Thomas about a year ago and it had 370hp up front and just a smidge under 300 hp rear-wheel.

The guys at SportHaus are great, I've known John McClure since the early 90's when I had my first 928. Back then they were in a little shop on S. Wells Ave. That was when John actually had time to work on cars......

Looking forward to meeting you and your S-4 at SATL.
