Odd. Jack has obviously had a bad experience, one that I can't comment on. The individual in question is fascinated with the intake on my S2, and I've sent him all the part numbers of the tubes. What's more, I've sat across a table in Michigan and had beer with this guy. The story is that he was in a BAD car accident more than one year ago and he's taking some sort of pain pill.

-People who email and expect a response are setting themselves up for trouble in my expierence. If I have a problem with someone, I CALL them. emails are real damn easy to disregard, and not everyone checks their email every day. In fact, many hardly check it at all-

It's hard to resist a phone call. I get odd phone calls all the time, but if I don't recognize the number then I let it go to voice mail. I call everyone back a few moments later. If someone calls me a few times, I know it isn't a silly call and I will answer. I suspect that other people to do this too.

The long and short is that if you are expecting to email somebody and have a prompt, positive response [other than the big three], then you are doing little more than manipulating your ***** toward expansion.

Have fun, but I'm not sure you're going to get his attention.

Sorry Normy, you have been misled. I have drank many beers with this person and he was a very good friend until the " bad accident". I could have done more damage to the van he was driving with my foot than that "bad accident" did. Since then, he is trying to milk the workers comp system for all the $$$$ he can get and I think he has convinced himself that he is injured. I think the "brain" injury has him believing that he doesnt owe me any money, although others on this board know the truth. When those of us who know what this guy is like speak up and try to warn others, people that he tries to curry favor with by making good deals always sing out and refute that. You see, he needs to keep contacts here on rennlist so that he can sell his parts here, where he isn't a sponsor and gets away with it. Has it ever occurred to anyone that he doesn't even drive, due to all the meds he takes? Let alone a 928? No, he buys them to part them to make money. His neighbor does the actual physical work. He thinks nothing of shafting me, who was his friend for several years, out of several thousand dollars. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I assume this mystery person is John Dozbush - aka Dozman.

He has been banned from Rennlist for previous unscrupulous activities.

I thought it would show "Banned" beneath his name.

Randy banned me at one point. But when you thing about this, consider Randy's quick temper and my various posts and then decide what you think is more proper. Dozman isn't perfect, but I want you to know that I had NO IDEA that he had been banned before.

Yea, I'll throw in on this too. I have never met him and he had the opportunity to screw me hard...but he didn't. Circumstances as they were would have left me no recourse. He was late in delivery, but made it all right. I have emailed with him since and he seems to be very nice, so he has my vote of confidence.

However, I have certainly been on the other side of the fence too. Some of the most popular people in the 928 community feel they had to go on record about scum bag individuals that deserve prison time and that they were good guys even though they have blatantly ripped off people for 1000's.

Just goes to show, ya just never know the truth about people.

If he owes you this much money why don't you get your lawyer mate Dave and take him to court instead of trying him in the court of public Rennlist opinion? Easy to throw mud, not so easy to get a judgement. Answer that question and get a judgement for the debt and you might have some credibilty.

This is a clear explanation of what is actually happening. I assumed as much only after one bad 24 hour period.

There is a fundamental shift in the way people make decisions (usually towards the negative) when they have assumed Pain Killers into their formally-normal daily activity.
