Thanks everyone. Just reading through the owner's manual and what do I find... A receipt from several months ago.... the PO's last oil change.... Mobil 1 10W-30... I knew the oil was clean when I checked it... nice to know it's high-dollar too. He really did care.... lol
It's been sitting in the driveway in the same spot since last night..... no drips.... should I be concerned.
Welcome into the fold, Brad. A "feed lot parking lot" purchase, eh....brave man!
I hate to be a buzz kill, but you can do better than 10w 30 on the oil fill. I think that's too thick; switching to an oil that's less viscous at lower temps and more so at the high end will probably be better for you, e.g. a 5w 40. Anyway, I don't know if 10w 30 was ever Porsche spec, but it's not now.
Sounds like you've got a good sized list of To Do's; have fun and post often!
FWIW, The Hurricane Region and the Carolina Region PCA is having a joint GTG, Saturday, March 31. We will tour Bob Ingram's private Porsche collection in Durham. From what I've heard, it's one of the top private collections in the US, and well worth the $40.00 to join the PCA.
Good stuff! and welcome. I don't know if you have ever pursued electrical gremlins on a Shark before. I sure hope your liver is up to the task. Cheers brother!
