Default The DFW Gang rides...to Houston (Grand Prix)

OK, we're getting closer. Roger and I have our tickets to the race in Houston. Here's the dilly, yo:

We'll drive to Houston on Friday April 20th in time to get there late afternoon, and attend the Paul Rodgers concert at the arena that night.

Then, Saturday it'd be cool to hook up with some Houston 928's...we've got tickets to park at the PorschePlatz car corral. We could meet there or somewhere prior for breakfast? Spend the rest of the day wandering aimlessly thru the pits, watching qualifying, etc. The ALMS race is that evenining, and starts around 5:30, and will run 2 1/2 hours. We can then grab a late dinner and/or drinks.....

The plan is to drive back home Sunday morning, but the Champ Car race is that day for anyone who wants to attend.

I've got a room reserved at the Hampton Inn @ Reliant Park.

Who else from DFW wants to go down to the race-you can go down Saturday if you can't make the concert Friday?

Who from Houston is going to the race or wants to meet Saturday?

One more thing, we did get reserved seats in Grandstand 1, section 1P, Row 9, seats 1 & 2. We also have pit passes...

Well, legend has it that there is a character who lives a little south of here. There have been reported sightings from time to time. Since these are mostly by John Curry, the validity of them is in question.

It will be interesting to see if we catch a glimpse of him at the race in Houston.

I have never asked to see any current form of identification from the guy that shows up at my house periodically. He always says he is Justin, but if asked on a witness stand as to his true identity, I would only be able to say that I believe him to be Justin.

However, I believed in Santa Claus the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny for a long time, too. LOL
