I can't believe some of these replies. You'd think we were all 10 years old. The guy just had a simple, not so outrageous suggestion. I never really understood the advantage to acronyms. It probably saves one or two seconds. But, if there is something I don't understand or can't figure out myself, I just check the sticky.

We can all have fun every now and then, but I just don't see the point in being mean to the guy.

I don't think we were trying to be 'mean', just pointing out the facts.

As 928 owners, most of us have a pretty thick skin to start with, seein' as we're advocates of the 'red-headed step child' of the Porsche marque. Stick around here long enough and we learn to shrug off pretty much anything.

Drinking heavily doesn't hurt either.

Especially when said beverage is served by the honourable Rennlist Admin RandyV, from the trunk of a sleek Porsche 928 GTS, on a hot sunny day at the premises of an A-1 928 parts supplier with a hundred other 928 friends

If on the outside chance one deems to spell something out, the SpellCheck function is free and available.

This sums up the issue .....wikip. "Jargon is terminology, much like slang, that relates to a specific activity, profession, or group. It develops as a kind of shorthand, to express ideas that are frequently discussed between members of a group, and also to distinguish those belonging to a group from those who are not. This is sometimes called "guild" or "insider" jargon. Newcomers or those unfamiliar with a subject can often be tagged by their incorrect use of jargon. The use of jargon by outsiders is considered by insiders to be audacious, since it constitutes a claim to membership of the insider group. Conversely, since outsiders may not see the reference made via jargon, they are all the more sensitive to its more visible elitist social framing. Jargon to the outsider usually comes across as pedantic, nerdy, and divorced from meaning." basically it is the secret handshake ....

I almost said 944 owners instead of 10 year olds, but I didn't want to start anything.
