He was factory engineer involved with 928 development. After retirement he wrote book which contains best production number source for 928. Data came from factory and apart from few typing mistakes and not listing number of prototypes made each year it is best available.

No. Nicole contacted publisher IIRR. They are not inteested. Most of the book is technical specs for each model year. Its fairly easy read for non German speakers also.

instructions: change instructions to English: yes, but there is more than just the dash to cope with.

Jorg Austen's book: very good resource. Since I kept trying to get a decent overview I put the specs into a big spreadsheet which is on my web at:

scroll down until you see "All specs of all 928 models in one overview "
It is in German but understandable for US/UK people. Someday I will translate it into English.
