You know what they say.........this thread is useless without pics.
Go to Google, and download Picasa2, it's free and easy to manipulate size using the export function.

Kalex - Congrats!
Kurt - Thanks for the photo tips. I've been wondering how to do that myself. Now let's see if I can get a profile pic to load of my 87. Mike

Got my dream machine...pic
OK 1 pic...gotta get out of the garage more.
To much work so far to list here...so many little things. Touch up painting, leather patching, dash recovering, fuse replacing, switch fixing...blah blah blah
Had the exhaust off this week...just looked at it for a couple days and then put it back. Fired it up with just cats...Broke a couple bottles in the garage, they rattled off the shelf...just idling.
Might take it to a local guy for custom exhaust install since there's not much available for an '86.
Anyone get emissions tested with the high flows? Just curous what #'s came out...if they're as good as OEM as filtering.

Ed,
Your avatars give me the heebie-jeebies....but I love them all! Don't know where you get that stuff. I hope they let you out of your padded cell once and a while to enjoy your great cars!

I’ve driven the car 2x since I brought it home, my neighbors don’t even know I have it. I’ve been working on it everyday and am almost ready to reveal it…drive to work, show it off.
So driving it home from Zebulon to Raleigh, one blinker worked, no speedometer, no tach…ok nothing in the dash. All that ended up being just a fuse, looked cooked, hope it’s not a problem later.
My wife was tailing me and had to tell me to slow down a couple times(cell phones)….I can’t tell how fast I’m going in this thing!
One of the fuses caused a relay to click fast. Click and flash the dash signal light all the way home…Just wanted to add that, did a search and never found anything.
Anyway, I’ve been reading this forum for a few months and really appreciate everyone’s dedication to these awesome cars. I’ve wanted one since…well lets just say 20 years.
I've got plenty of questions, so talk to you all soon.

Kalex,
Welcome to the group, nice car man. Congratulations.
There are lots of cool exhaust options for the '86. Do some searches and you'll find lots of things that are recent. I recently passed inspection after 5 months of trying. The answer: new O2 sensor and new crossover pipes with high flow cats.
Breezed right through with good numbers too! (my favorite numbers were the HP increase and the db increase, but the state was happy about my NOx, HC and CO numbers)

Hey Kalex, welcome.. sweet ride.. I agree!
If the last 4 of your VIN are greater than 999 then you have an 86.5 and I'm jealous.
Basic differences from 86 to 86.5 are brakes, front suspension and exhaust.
Only 86.5-on can use the standard RMB (rear muffler bypass) however
you could have something custom made.
I put the X-pipe from 928 motorsports on mine and LOVE the sound, and the extra horses.
I don't have any cats on right now, but I'm starting to feel really guilty about it, so that
will have to change.
The best tip I can give you is to check here before you do anything with your car, it will save you
lots of time and money and help keep your sanity when she makes you question your motives.
