Default HVAC setting motor noisy????

Over the last couple months I've heard an odd squeeky noise from the inside the dash.....I've narrowed it down that I don't have any vac leaks...& since the noise appears when I change temp, but not the vac pods...it has to be the settign motor....... The setting motor still works properly it just has an annoying high pitched squeek to it while it turns......

So my thoughts are try to lube the pivot when I fix the recirc in a couple weeks....if that doesn't fix it then I might have to replace the motor...which is about $200 used (928-624-129-00)....has anyone else fixed this? Ideas?

I've had to replace the motor and it is pricy as you indicate.

They either work or they don't. Try lubricating the pivot as you propose.

Randy
Was it hard to change or a serious PITA like most of the HVAC?

I actually had Greg Brown do it, but based on the labor hours it's a bit of a bugger to swap it.

Setting motor should take 20 mins to change. I've done it on my car and on a mate's.

- Parcel shelf out
- two screws out from the motoh
- plastic shroud pulls off, two connectors off
- wiggle the round push bad out of the plastic bit on the motor
It's out.

I have a spare LHD one which you can have cheap. I'll test it before shipping of course.
