I have the bug again for a 928. I gave up last time after not finding the right car. Year and mileage aren't as important as condition and records. Specifically I prefer a dark color with AT, but color is not that crucial. If anyone is in the mind to sell, please let me know.I am in Atlanta and do prefer something I can drive to, to have a PPI done.

There's an S4 on Craiglist that sounds like what you want: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/264820309.html
it'll be great to have another shark in L'ville!

Depends what you want. I have a low-price '85 red on black auto for sale, 200k miles, strong runner. Interior very nice, paint good, would be best bought as a low-priced daily driver for learning to do your own work. Comes with tbelt and water pump for you to start the process. Dash, seats, pod are near perfect.

hx, but at this point in my life
Thanks, but at this point in my life I can buy my way in. I took 2 914s and made 1 almost thirty years ago to get into my first P car. Not that I want to pay Wilhoit's prices, but I've learned my lessons the hard way....as they say buy the best one you can afford.

So what is it worth ? Or better yet, what will you give for a pristine example? Do you want a daily driver or a car for looking at in your garage or a weekend trip car or a DE car or one to take to the track? Just Curious , my car is very nice and runs great but i dont drive it much due to the snow out here, so its just sitting in the garage with the battery getting a recharge every few weeks

Not a lot of luck finding the right car. There was a 94 GTS in Atl that was promised to another buyer before I looked at the car. Unfortunately for me, he came up with the money in time to satisfy the seller. While looking around I have noticed that 2001 - 2003 996 TTs can be had from mid fifties to 70s. I could take the same money I have set back for a 928, trade or sale my 996C2 and get a turbo. Then I would be right back to the issue I have now and putting too many miles on one car. I need to find a well sorted 928 before I do something my wife will leave me over. Hard to believe TT cars have lost this much in value. 993s with the same mileage bring much more.

I've been watching the 996TT prices plummet down to and in some cases below (rising?) 993TT prices, I ascribe it to high production #s plus the growing popularity of the 997S and 997TT among well-heeled buyers.
But they're not down to ordinary/imperfect 928 GTS prices yet...

Can you send some additional pics (smshirk@bellsouth.net)? Do you have dealer stamp or documentation on timing belt water pump. How about AC, does it need a charge, comp, or ?
Thanks
Steve

My wife is very willing to indulge myfairly constant desire to buy P-cars, but she really wants me to get rid of something. I took this fat boy in on trade for my Boxster about a year ago. If anyone who is selling would be interested in taking it off my hands in any interesting trade I would let it go without much dickering.
