headliner removal trick
well I had to remove another headliner this week... got a wild idea that worked GREAT!
once everything is removed in the sunroof (rails, panel etc) you still have to get the glued section of the headliner off without tearing...
yesterday I decided to use a hand steamer to loosen the glue, got the steamer good and hot, the leather let loose from the chassis in a matter of seconds without any tearing!!!!
one warning, only use the steamer on the section that's actually glued to the inside part of the sunroof, you don't want to get the underlayment wet
not sure if anyone else has ever tried this, but $25 or so at walmart is a WHOLE lot cheaper than recovering the headliner
