Oh yes, I'm constantly lurking here.

I 'may' be able to meet up to say hi, but I will not be able to go on an extended cruise during the weekend, as much as I'd like to. Been renovating a house on the weekends besides doing my full time job, besides trying to be a decent family guy, besides working on the 8's.

I'll keep monitering this thread though, would be fun even just to meet you guys at your rally spot for a cup of coffee and some chit chat before you peel out on your adventure. Then I can putt home all depressed while you guys are out having fun. Ha ha...

I'm in the same boat as Ed, could probably meet for breakfast or coffee before you guys head on your way.

So far we have Dave, Bruce and me. Anyone else? 3 928's will do fine though. I recommend we drive South of Olympia, hang a right and hit the ocean, hang another right and crawl up the coast around the peninsula, and perhaps have lunch at Port Townsend. A RADAR DETECTOR IS CRUCIAL, but I do not plan on doing any triple digits, just a great RELAXED day in the SUN with PORSCHES. Godzilla is chomping at the bit.

Ed, Adam, let's meet for a small bite before heading out. Ed, Adam, you guys are polar opposites in the geographical sense, you decide where/when. The rest of us will take off from that spot.

About half way for Adam & Ed is Renton-Newcastle.

There's a Denny's at exit 7 on I-405; easy on-off freeway access.
Coffee's ok there, etc.

G'luck all.

Ed,

If you'll walk outside of your house around 1pm Saturday I'll start my car up.. you should be able to hear it from there..

Hmmmmmm.. I'm in the same boat as Ed... down to around 300 projects.. before I can go play..

I'd be up for that. The earlier the better. If you guys aren't planning on spending the night in Long Beach, I'd say 8am. You'd be on the road around 9:30am, and get to the beach for a late lunch.

How 'bout it Ed?

I may be able to do something like that, and yeah, earlier is better for me too. Kind of hard for me to commit, sorry about that.

And Adam sorry you won't be able to make it.

And if you guys have another meeting place that you prefer, please speak up. Maybe a Charbucks would make for a quicker in and out early meeting place?

OK. Here's the plan:

I and a few friends are committed to going rain or shine. No high speed, sorry. just get out there and enjoy the cars (and sun if miraculously it's there).

8am Meet:
IHOP Tacoma off I-5 http://ihop.know-where.com/ihop/cgi/...00668&address=

8:30am Depart:
If it's sunny, we're off to the ocean and may decide to not circle the peninsula. We'll vote If it isn't sunny, the ocean will suck and the road there too. I am inclined to then head across the Narrows Bridge and go have lunch in Port Townsend.

Return:
As a group. If you plan on peeling off please let me know so we don't double back and waste a day looking for your cold lifeless body

Equipment:
Radar detector (not going to speed but needed anyway)
GMRS radio (FRS is OK but get with the 90's boys)
Gasoline (the 72nd st exit has cheap Shell)
Sexy girlfriends (We'll consider letting you in without)
empty bladder (we will stop as often as needed. we may find interesting sites, this is NOT a high-speed run)

See you at 8am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Show of hands?

Wink

H-
I think the weather-guessers are sliding shut the sun window.
We're the PacNW - take sun as we get it.

OK, 8 am @ IHOP Tacoma, across from the Mall and a mile or so
south.

macreel aka Bruce

Put away the sunblock 50 - pack your slicker.

G'luck all.

p.s. if nothing else we can go raid, uh, check on shane's shop.

Sounds like a fun trip. I'm in the maybe category. I'll try to join the group at Tacoma, but may need to work tomorrow.
