I have said many many times that no one on Rennlist buys these cars. (Ok maybe once ina blue moon) But I always make the point of why bother posting this and that car for sale on this and that website, who gives a crap. Todd, you mention you only sold one of your 30 or so cars to a Rennlist member, so why bother with posting it here. I dont advertise my car here, I know no one here is going to buy it, these guys already have their diamonds, no need to take someone else's. The only cars I see Rennlist buying from other Rennlisters blue light specials, something that someone just needs to get rid of.

So if you also recognize that you dont sell your cars to Rennlisters, why bother posting. Then you dont have to deal with these threads.

This just makes zero sense to me.

If he doesn't plan to sell any cars to rennlisters, WTF is he posting about it to us?

Good news Rennlisters Todd is buying up all the nice 928's with no plans on any of us getting one, but do tell your rich friends where they can find a fiipped car with a nice detail at a high price.

More like we warn them about smooth operators that know how to prep a car to make it look nicer than it is, and need a MUCH more thorough inspection than a normal used 928.

Todd

Its was in a two sentence PM that you sent me a couple of months ago...its still in my mial box. No search involved.

Me, im never too quick to judge ...many times some people have a nack for doing the job for you ,makes it that much easier..

But I don't make judgements like that.
Yeah, we can all see you dont make judgements like that. Thanks for the clarification.

Man, I've never even seen you try. The only thing I've ever seen you do is make yourself happy with no regard for anyone else. I'd say most people are out for themselves, but very few are as obnoxiously blatant about it as you.

You sound exactly like a used car salesman.

Man, I usually only get to watch this kind of thread in the Off Topic forum between conservatives and liberals. Low Miler is like the new RedUFO.

What a shame.

I seldom post here, but read almost on a daily basis the posts in this forum....great info/knowledge gained and applied to my 10 years 928 ownership. Having read many of the back and forth contentious threads between Low Miler (Todd) and numerous members, I have to say that Todd consistently comes across as an arrogant pr$ck. Best I can tell he is a mechanical zero when it comes to the 928, but does know how present a vehicles good points. Todd, take a deep breath and relax man...constructive criticism should be embraced, acknowledged, and used to your advantage, but you are just too damn perfect to accept it. Grow up.

I’m guessing, and only guessing, to help Todd facilitate a 928 sale he promised to help sell the silver car as part of the deal.

Pure and simple, the paints rough. And for those that consider a re-spray as a deal breaker, unless it’s simply a “one of a kind must have 928” I would consider this as an example that…does not fit that category and I would not consider it knowing better condition examples are available. Of course, one mans junk is another mans treasure and I’m sure it will sell for…something.

While I commend Todd's effort on keeping the 928 flame alive, I can't help but think 'why hasn't he been forced to become a sponsor?' I offer to sell a ****ing $5 piece of **** part and two cry-baby sponsors have the Rennlist Gestapo on my white ***.
I tried to make that point a long time ago. If you are going to use Rennlist as a commercial resale outlet tool, and expect us to pick up the phone and tell you what a great job you are doing every time you make a buck, then pay the Rennlist sponsorship fee. I think it’s around $1200 bucks? People like Nicole, 928 International, Paul the leather dude and the others have. I can’t believe this has gone under the John D. radar but perhaps bigger things are in play.

So for all those looking for pre-87, it's still an open market. But, I do intend to mark them up considerably and sell as many as I possibly can.
And this has been ‘part of’ my point all along with these types of “car dealer threads”. It’s the Pied Piper syndrome. Supporting the big MARK UP. “Come on guys, follow me, I’m really here to help you, honest, tell everyone how great I am and how much money I made on my last 928 sale, and maybe one day if you tell everyone about me...so I can make more, you’ll make some money selling them too.”

In other words…I doubt the low miler posts have ever been about stimulating and protecting the 928’s relationship with respect among other peers but simply about…turning a buck. And in that case, spring for a sponsorship fee.

With threads pertaining only to parts needed for to be sold cars or said to be sold cars, expect a little friendly discussion as to what we may feel those said cars may be worth...or buy...er shop you ware's somewhere else.

Bottom line...that silver car is rough!

Does anyone know what ever happened to Sean? He used to sell cars on ebay and advertise his cars here to get things going but whenever he posted here he was lambasted each time. I seem to remember that most of his posts ended up with similar results as this one- some I have to admit I enjoyed. He would get so worked up he would even respond to his own posts. Good times.

I have noticed that Wilhoit posts some of his cars in the classified section with no fanfare at all. I would think that might be the best thing to do here as well.

One question though ......I am wondering why you would post that the reserve is much less than what the owner wants?

And this advice from someone who has ZERO friends on the forum? And what's with the "us" statement anyway?

And only because I'm done with dinner and bored again will I respond to yet another unfounded claim such as yours.

danglerb, obviously you don't know anything about me or anything about the 928's I've bought and sold. Once again (sighs), refer to my Ebay *928gts* feedback profile. I have no need to make the cars look nicer than they are. They already are when I buy them, but because I take such pride and passion in my 928's, I go the extra distance to make them concours. Once again, refer to Ebay feedback profile.

Nice detail? Please........ More thorough inspection? Bring it on and always welcomed!

Call it the American dream, but I actually sell my goods for a profit. I know it doesn't seem right, but dammit I love 928's and I love making money. Wait a minute.................what a great business idea! Do something you love and make money doing it. Brilliant!

Thanks danglerb! Your my new best friend on Rennlist.

Once again, Todd
