Wow...my first impression was "THIS kit got my attention."

Then I tried to figure out why it did. Unfortunately the more I looked at it, the more it looked like ..uhmm...a Shark. The rockers look like fins and the front end looks like a mouth. Anyway, I don't like to cut down anyones efforts. It is a great piece for what it is and appears first class in its own right.

So my personal thoughts...aside from the fins and mouth
-the spoiler tucks back up under the car into the front tires. I know you did this to asthecically give reason to the rocker angles and where they finish off at the apex on the door. Unfortunately, this makes it look aerodynamically wrong and doesn't put the front of the car in the "weeds" like one would expect. It creates an open JAW look in the front.

-the rockers look like they are there just to look like fins

-the molded rear makes the car look too long ...can't figure out what car it reminds me of.

-On a positive note, I think you got the rears flares right on! I think this is what caught my eye as to why I had initialy liked the look at first glance. It has the 928 look, but hints at a Turbo Carrera.

As a whole, it looks like a characature of the so called "shark" look of the 928. It doesn't really give it meaning in the sense of speed or class.

I am sorry brother, but I really want to like it, I applaud your efforts and I am certain that you have more designs in the "bag"

If you sold the rear fenders seperately, I may be interested.

Keep on keepin on!

When the big auto companies show a concept car, it is often a little on the wild side. The production model gets a little more civilized. That may be what is needed here, you've got some awesom styling cues, the rockers and such that may do well to be tamed down. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the front fog lights/turn signals, so I''' focus on them. They are too much, why not try to work the stock lights into the design, to keep some of the roots of the front end with an update? I'd also vote for aero mirros and a tail. Maybe closing down the "mouth" by about 10% to keep the idea, but put less emphasis on it as a feature.

I like the side "running boards" alot. Gotta hand it to you, this is the only kit I've ever seen that doesn't make the car look kind of like a jellybean.

Thumbs up!

The rockers need to be softened up a bit. Too harsh and crsip of a line on a smooth car. Just my IMHO. I REALLY love the detail of PORSCHE embossed on the front bumper With that written there you could get a away with having no lights on the front bumper and having them in the inlets below. Needs GTS mirrors and perhaps a "modern wing"? Im just not use to seeing a naked..uh...***...well ya know on a 928 at least

I think PORSCHE in larger letters would look cool embossed on the side skirts? Toss back to how Porsche placed decals on many of the 911s..Carrera etc etc. Id then leav it off the front bumper as it would be to much "PORSCHE" lettering. Kudos to the work done!

My airfilter in the fender would fit nicely behind those gills!

A quicky below.

Over all a clean design and I like it! However as nice as the front valance is I think the opening is just a bit too big. You could have the same menacing look with less of an opening. I particularly like the smooth front end, the lights and the gills behind the wheels – very shark like. Side skirts look like they hang a little low around the front wheels. The rear end is nice & clean too. I really like the morphing of the later taillights but I think a wing would be a good addition too.

Of everything you’ve done I would like to find a way of incorporating the tail lights on my 78.

Possible to curve the front of the side skirt forward to make the front wheelarch less square?

The gills are a very nice touch.
Thanks Ernest, I will try and get hold of some Hella's and try them out

The reason "Fat Bully" looks so similar is that I made that one too, this is just the road version - thanks so much for all your comments and advice and crit - you are a great source of inspiration to guys like me and I guess no matter what you do, you cannot make something that everyone will like every part of.

I will go back to the drawing board with this one - thanks so much - I am setting up a webpage for you to see the specs and prices as it would be wrong to post them here

I really like the rear fenders...very wide, but clean too......did you widen the front fenders too?

actually doesn't look half bad without the wing.

i'd have 2 problems with it:

that flat, straight rocker on an otherwise rounded car.

i wouldn't put that flat S-looking front bumper on an S4.

otherwise good looking, esp. Tony's side view...

This really takes the "shark" look to the extreme...

I'm glad to see you moved away from the massiveness of the front fenders as you had it in the yellow car. The shape of the wheel arch helps as much as the gills. However, the rear is still too massive, and somehow the fake intakes don't do it for me. A rear wing would certainly help offset that massiveness a bit. However, it would have to be larger than an S4 wing to bring a healthy balance.

I find the side skirts too "sharp" in shape, and overwhelming in size for the 928. Something more sublte would be good, but it does not necessarily have to be as conservative as Tony's mock-up. I understand you want to do something new and differentiate yourself, but the further out you go, the more you narrow your market.

In the front, you might be better off using one unit for the lights, rather than three separate ovals. These don't correspond well with the shape around (they look like an afterthought in this flat and edgy nose). Maybe you can soften the nose and use a different shape of lights?

Overall, the appearance is somewhat on the cartoonish side. If you'd add teeth, a roof fin antenna, and a wing, you might get invited for an audition for the next movie "Cars"...

I like it. I think it would look better if the bottom of the front end was silver too and maybe close the mouth up a little.

Although, since i am a bit of a purist and like the 928 the way it came of the line, I think your kit looks great. Very tough and and nicely contoured. Good work man!
