Default Ebay Auction Scam? Our seats on Ebay!!!

Hey.

What can I do or should I do nothing? Those pictures were from our ebay ad about one year ago!!!! Notice the cloth and blinds? Those are the front of our shop.

What to do. Can anyone get ebay notified of this. I tried, they seemed not to care!

Thanks.

If e-bay does not respond then I would contact the bidders about this.

I like how he states that the "heated seats" blow air on your neck through vents.

Are you sure it's not the winner of last years auction using your old pictures?

I just sent him a message asking for pictures of the mounts underneath.

I'll let you know if he responds.

Look at his past auctions. LOL

I don't think I'd do anything.

eBay probably figures that as long as the pics are of the actual item being offered, they don't care where the pics come from.

I rather imagine it's pretty common practice for someone to re-sell something using a previous set of pics.

See what the bidding does. Maybe you can buy them back at less than what you originally sold them for and sell 'em again!

" THEY HAVE THE OPTION OF ADDING HEATERS BUT ARE NOT CURRENTLY HEATED. YOU CAN EVEN ADD A NECK HEATING SYSTEM WHICH BLOWS HOT AIR ONTO YOUR NECK THROUGH VENTS AND CAN BE INSTALLED BY A CUSTOM CAR AUDIO SHOP. OR THE TRADITIONAL HEATING OF THE BACK WHICH CAN ALSO BE INSTALLED"

Hot air?

If you can prove the pics are yours, ebay will make him take them down. However the top pic is recent.

funny how they got three sets out of one car...only 1 pair left. I'd be pretty pissed if my new porsche arrive with 2 extra sets of seats inside...

Yep - the new Mercedes SLK has that feature. Not sure how it could be retrofitted, but it exists.

Anyway, there is one picture at the end that shows a current date.

Garrity: What you have here is a copyright issue - but since you very likely have not registered those photos you would not have much leverage to enforce this. And even if, it would have to go through the federal courts... I'd let it go - you can spend lot of time with little gain on this.

On Jan-26-07 at 20:45:17 PST, seller added the following information:

i included a picture of me with the seats i have for sale. for more pictures of these seats in any particular position let me know and i will email them to you.
Hmmm. what position would I want him in? Actually, he doesn't look that attractive, so let's skip that offer...

Do you own copyright on the photos? If so you can invoke the DMCA, and the y do not fall under "fair use", because you did not sell them the photos.

So you bought the last pair before the last pair??? Why would you take great seats like that out of a new car with 2 miles. 2 Miles? I have never seen a new car on a porsche lot with only 2 miles. Car is driven more than that getting on the truck, then the train, then boat and repeat offloading...

Also notice the price of recovering seats went up in the last month over $400.

My point is, take a look at the pictures he took, and then look at the seats we sold. Two totally different qualities!!!
