BOSCH offers remanufactured MAFs
Well, at least they do in Germany. Here is the number:
0 986 280 124
Cost in Germany, without VAT: Euro 348
Core charge: Euro 180 Euro
The German owners claim this is very aggressive pricing. I have no idea how much we pay for MAFs in the US, and whether these are available over here.

Nicole, any chance you could price one for us. I dont speak fluent German but i know you do! he he
Would any Bosch supplier be able to use that PN? I wonder what the description would list. Wether its 928 specific or if it was used in some other car in the 80's-90's

I don't know anything more than what I posted. And I have no dobut that John Speake will deliver excellent and reliable quality.

At 348 Euro = 452USD plus carriage on both the exchange unit and on the core, it is still more expensive than my rebuilds from my distributors in the US - 350USD.
My price is Germany is also competitive with their price.

What does Bosch do to rebuild them and what sort of warranty, without that a low price is of speculative value.

Bosch have been offering rebuilt MAFs for a long time, only surprise her eis the price.
In April last year they quoted me
"Bestellnummer*0 986 280 124 im Programm. Der Preis beträgt CHF 982.80 inkl. MwSt"
That is over 700 US$....
