Hah! How cool to see this old thread making the rounds again! Some very nice additions to the lineup here.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Holbert car is transformed to its former glory.

Wish I had something to add to this, but I'm rather out of the loop these days. Still it's nice to see some of the new faces as well as the old-timers.

A few years ago at the Parts Heaven concourse in Hayward, CA.

I was the only entrant in Full Concourse – 928 Class. So I got First Place!!!

I initially was dinged for having rolled rear fenders!!!

I showed the judge the factory booklet that describes the differences between the S4 and GT. And, it had a section showing the fenders were rolled by the factory!!

Wyatt, welcome to the tank and don't feel too bad about being a newbie. I was a newbie myself when I first started this thread and look at how far I've come since then! Have owned/driven three of these babies since then. One was stripped due to chronic failures, one I managed to wreck on beautiful sunny afternoon's drive, and one had been off the road for months in need of various things, mostly money. But the guys (and gals) around here are still nice enough to let me hang around and pretend I'm still part of the crowd.

If I never get another 928 on the road again as "mine," I'm still proud to call this crowd my friends. Hope you'll be one of the crowd for many years to come!!

I just lurk, but this thread got me motivated. Like my flock of interesting immobile bikes, the S3 is still up on jack stands, bunch of Porken parts on the bench, waiting for me to get a round tuit. Maybe this thread will help. Team Silverback is where all the spare time and money (small town solo lawyers have precious little of either) has gone the past few years. (This was at Heartland Park, 4/08. I'm at the end of the mike; ASRA was making a video.)
