Pics of my new Euro S4
I was going to wait until I had a chance to wash it before I posted pictures but I couldn't wait to show it off. I just got home this morning after driving it home from Virginia. It's the 90 S4 posted on 1/09 in the Rennlist classifieds. The interior is all leather and is in amazing condition. The seller mentioned a "dent" on the fender in the listing. It's so small, I had to look for a while to find it. It run's great, everything works and it came with a folder full of service records. Thanks to David Yerkes for taking such good care of this wonderful car. Sorry to ramble on so but I'm a little excited and maybe a bit delirious from the trip.
The last pic is of a friend that stopped by to take a look.

Congrats!
That's the beauty from Frenzy couple years back. As beautiful as ever.
So you'd got a stash of Leatherique products in the garage yet?
And do the headlight adjusters still operate? Assuming it's the later electrical version.
Great purchase, Mike.

Looks awesome Mike. Tell, us long did the trip up take?
BTW, it's been snowing here for hours. And accumulating. Definitely made the right decision to leave on Saturday.

Was this car made for the middle east? If it was, it would be nice to see if it has the sand seperator in the itnake tubes.
Nice car!

No leatherique yet, Ernest but I'll be stocking up soon. It appears that the headlight adjusters aren't working. Oh well, almost everything works. Are they just supposed to move the lights up and down slightly? I'll do some troubleshooting soon and see what I can figure out.
Thanks Roger, It would take a special car like this one to get me to buy another auto.
Thanks Risky B, danglerb and bigmac. Love that linen S4 in your avatar bigmac. I suppose this would be a ROW car, danglerb. I'm told it was originally sold to a Saudi diplomat who later had it imported.
Well John, my train was two hours late and David and I had to go to 2 different banks for notary services and then Kinkos to make copies so I got a much later start than I expected. I didn't sleep much on the train so the eyelids came down around 5:00 at Henderson, N.C. I got a room and crashed until 1:00 A.M. and then finished the drive around 7:00 A.M. So, what day is this, anyway?
JWise, I had an Audi GT Commemorative Edition that had the same color combo only it had white wheels too. I loved it but it was rear-ended and totalled less than a month after I bought it. Hopefully I'll stay out of the wreck biz for a while.
Thanks John R, The Carfax report starts on 06/26/2001 so I'm guessing that's when it was imported.

Thanks Imo000, I'll check the intake tubes and see if I see anything.

Wow! That's fascinating, the Porsche VIN sticker in Arabic!
-Do you know when the car was brought to the United States? I own a gray market '85, and I have no Porsche sticker on my door frame- only a sticker installed by the importer [Mala GMBH inc.- it doesn't exist any more], and the name of the company that federalized my car- Southeastern Compliance, which also doesn't exist. My sticker tells the day that the car entered the country [June 12, 1985], and the mileage at that point- 12 km.
Welcome, and cool car! If I were you, I'd have those silly side markers removed and the holes filled/painted.
N!
PS: For all of you: There was a guy who's screen name was "Lagavulin" a year or two ago, and he said that he had a "Can-can" interior; is this an actual name, or did he just have a bright red interior similar to what is pictured here?
