I wish I could watch F1 but I live in a commercial building and no one will bring cable into this place. Well, at least it's better than jail.

Not all races are shown on Speed TV. Last year a couple of races were broadcasted on local TV (FOX).

How about directTV? THey were recently having a deal where they throw in a 2-tuner DVR that allows you to record two shows simultaneously, or watch one channel while recording another. Cheaper than cable too. Dish Network has some deals too, but speed channel is not part of their basic service.

None are options for me. I've checked with Dish and with speedvision. No deals for Pavlina Plaza. Or the cost is excessively high. I forgot what it was but it was a lot of money. But since Sunnyvale is so highly desireable a place in which to live I guess I can't have everything fine in life and must sometimes make some concessions.

Huge. I love F1 and A1 too. And must admit I became a bigger fan after getting the shark.

Now that we have Scott Sped, you gotta be a fan of his just for national pride. I really am looking forward to Louis Hamilton in the McLaren, and Kimi in the Ferrari. I don't like Alanso for some reason. He just seems less than personable to me. I saw a photo of him in a McLaren race suit and he had a short haircut and was all "clean-shaven". I wonder if he'll be as good in that car? - Ruf

Alonso looks so weird with his hair cut like that. He looks like a third "lost" Franchiti brother, his name sounds right also: Dario, Marino, Fernando. He had a cool look going for him, more of a 70's shagginess that worked for him. Since Kovalinenenen (so many syllables) is taking his place, he could grow his hair long, but then he'd look like one of the elves from Lord Of The Rings, which would be cool for if they were to run at The Nurburgring.
