X2.

I'm so tired of getting the old 'ricer flyby' when I let up (having reached safe and legal speed limit ) and not so much as a nod. When I come up second best I'm impressed, not pissed off (of course that usually happens in my other car ).

928s are surprisingly good on the twisties.
2 years ago I took a german registered carrera 2 on the road up to Arosa (known locally as the road of a 1,000 bends) while he was braking for the next bend. "Up" of course is the best direction while the 928 has so much torque. Mine 928s has too much weight for the brakes too really race down hill.

Good point on congratulating when you come out second. To think about it, the Evo, 350Z crowd is typically younger and nearly always do the "flyby" once they catch up, where as the M3, C5, G35 guys are good to acknowledge the play time regardless. Even a C6 guy that mopped me up with his 6sp returned my runner up red-carpet hand gesture with a grin and "peace - thanks for playing". Perhaps determined by a bit of age and a bit of class.

My father is a life-long racer and used to say, "If you aren't prepared to lose races, then you'll never figure out how to win. Enjoyment of both is what makes it worthwhile."

Surpisingly similar in the way they break too...steering racks (also ZF) get sloppy...motor mounts need replacing...etc..etc...
