Offering to the Shrine ??

G'luck.
Hmm, good ideas. Consider them added to the list.

I also have everything printed out, including this list and the relay and fuse chart for my year! Ka-ching! Ha ha...

Hey guys, just checking in here from NJ. I'm at my brother's house and got a chance to check out the 928 yesterday and it looks good. Pretty much matches what I expected, and it runs good and drives good, so I think I'm good to go with the road trip back to SEA.

There is a loud buzzing though coming from the fuel tank area which I suspect is the fuel pump going bad, so I've started another thread to get some tips on troubleshooting. If you want to get in on that fun, go here: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...20#post3768620

I sent an email to rixter down in DC and I'm hoping he has a fuel pump in stock. If he does, I will drive down there (4 hrs or so) and install in myself, then carry on with the road trip. If he does not have it, I will see about getting one overnighted to me.

Anyway, just wanted to check in. So far, so good.

Ed

ps: saw my old buddies from home last night and we had a great time. But for some reason my head is killing me this morning. How did that happen?

My plan is to be on the road heading home (going south to Memphis, then heading west) on Monday morning. Note sure the exact time, but sometime that morning.

Ed--

If you want to stop at civilization before you dash over the mountains to (gad...) Bakersfield, give a shout. Have an open garage bay and the Lincoln Bedroom is unoccupied right now I think. We are just north of where I10 meets I5. If you come across 40 and south on I15, go west on I210 and you'll pass within a mile or three of us. I think there may be a few bottle left in the fridge from our last TB extravaganza too.

Thanks for the kind offer Bob! I'll keep it in mind.

Right now I'm at my mother's place in Goshen, New York State (near Middletown) and will be heading down to Philly today to have Earl Gilllstrom do a little work on the S4 before I head out on the real part of the trip.

Earl managed to find a used fuel pump for me and we're going to take a look at the timing belt tension, front end (got a slight shimmy). Will also be having the wheels balanced and an alignment while we are at it. This will be good piece of mind.

And I have to give a huge thank you to Ernest in NYC who hooked me up with Earl.

I'm heading out now so I'll check in with you guys the next chance I get.

Ed

Ed,

Good luck. I'm due East of Philly about an hour. If you need anything before you leave the area drop me a line.

I'll PM my cell #.

BTW- I think you're crazy, but I wish I was doing it.
