Airbag light problem solved
I lived with an airbag problem (dash light on all the time) for a long time. I’ve researched RL for just about all posted remedies and even bought a hammer in an effort to solve this problem. The hammer would not acknowledge the presence of an airbag system which let me to believe for a while that something was wrong with it. I kind of let it rest for the past year as I could not find an answer to the problem. Well some times waiting for the right moment in time has away of working things out. I got to communicate with Roger about hammers, MM resently which kind of got me to revisit my airbag problem and upon further research learned that the later 928 control unit is a 944 part (# 944.618.217.02 or SIEMENS 5WK4 062) I found one on e-Bay for lunch money, stuck it in tonight and the light is off!! It’s my opinion that leaking water from the blocked AC drain (I had fixed this already with a blow out tube before) found it’s way to the top of the control box which is located right under neat it and caused the original unit to go bad.
Hope this info is of value to some of you guys.

Herman,
Really good info - I know Doc has a similar problem and changing the unit out may help him also.
Thanks for sharing.
