I believe that was on the "F-A-S-T supercharger" web site.

I can't look at that site from work, but if it's a red 928 on a very small bike parth looking road then it's probalby the F.A.S.T. demo car.

It looks similar to the old FAST video, but not identical. Maybe it is another one. I believe Mike is from SoCal. He posted another video link to another car, but he also had a couple of this car.

Sweet Car. I'd hate to live life as a tire though

Like the guy who found a magic lantern..rubbed it...got a wish. "I wish I were a true stud!" and the last they heard of him he was a snow tire somewhere down in Utah. (old joke, sorry).

slight whistle to exhaust note as it passes the camera - sounds turbo.

Default Yep, its one of the FAST test beds.

This is one of the F.A.S.T. video's. I downloaded it a long time ago when I had my 84. I would watch it over and over and send it out to my buddies. I even kept a picture of the underhood shot on my computer from around April 2002. Good video.

My thoughts exactly - a stock 928 automatic can do a burnout like that pretty easily. 5-speed takes a bit of footwork, but still possible all the same.

I remember my Dad telling me some guys "back in the day" used to remove or disable the rear brake shoes to make it even easier. I guess that was basically the economy version of a line lock. Don't think that all of the smoke that you're seeing is necessarily from the tires either.

That reminds me of another internet classic, the laughing-gas fed late model Firebird on a lonely two-lane in corn country whose pilot thinks he's doing a burn-out - when in fact he's completely destroying his stock clutch. The engine roars, the rear wheels sit still, and the smoke billows. He figures it out - but not before going too far, and winding up getting towed home.
