Only 5 months till SITM!
#76
Hi all,
I am a Rennlist member since Jan 2002, mostly hanging out on the 993 forum, but I have been coming over here more and more to learn about your awesomely beautiful cars and to 'get up to speed' so to speak on the 928, it's history, pedigree, development, ride attributes & characteristics, and to learn as much as I can about the overall 928 driving experience. I have a 968, so I'm *somewhat* familar with Porsche's front-engine designs.
Anyway, a few months ago, I posted here that I recall seeing three cool 928s catch up to me and then 'blow by me' on I-40 last June as my wife & I were driving back to Nashville from the Blue Ridge Boxster Summit in Blowing Rock, NC, which I have attended for the last 7 years.
I just checked the dates of this year's Blue Ridge Boxster Summit and noticed that BRBS is once again scheduled for the same weekend as the SITM event.
If you guys do any kind of informal car-in's (so to speak) where everyone shows off their latest mods, upgrades, stereo wizardry, etc, etc, and you wouldn't mind having a Boxster dude show up, I'd like to meet you and see your beautiful cars close up and in person.
Last June, my wife and I went to Grandfather Mountain for a few hours on our own for some pictures at the top of the mountain, and on the way down, I remember seeing you guys on the lower field, but didn't quite 'put it together' that you were having an event there, otherwise I would have stopped by and said hello.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to meeting you.
Regards,
- rick

There are usually a couple of non 928s that show up...and a few odd ball rentals here and there ...
Stop by!!
