There was a special, it was $75/night. This year it's $79, but thats alot better that the $110 they nomally charge!!! I booked the same room I had last year! This was the best time I had on vacation in a long time! It was also my first visit to S.I.T.M. and I plan on attending as many as i can! The guys in the parking lot were all soo nice to talk to, and answered any questions i might have had!

Am thinking about attending, as it's not too far from home. Relatively new owner, looking to increase my knowledge of the car and how to maintain it myself; a newbie to auto maintainance. Sounds like a great opportunity to meet and talk to other owners about the car and problem resolution. Is there much for the significant other (who is not as excited about cars) to do during the weekend, or should she stay home?

Hey Bruce! Why haven't we got together?? Doing lower ball joints tonight, if you get bored. Had my pod back off last night... starting to get the hang of this...

My wife attended with me last year. This was the first time for both of us, and we both had a lot of fun. The location is beautiful, the people are great, and we kind of made the whole thing a mini vacation... went up Friday night, had a nice long drive down the blue ridge parkway on the way back... I'd like to take another day and add the Biltmore tour onto our return trip. I only got slapped twice on the shoulder for driving too fast... and she was looking forward to driving the last leg of the trip, before an L-jet brain failure cost us 10 hours and $500 in towing...

Bus, been too busy with work. I'm an internal auditor, and year end is always out straight, plus I've got the cold that's going around. Love to join up with you and watch/learn sometime.

PCA meeting Tuesday Jan 16th, 6:00 at the Texas Roadhouse by Hamilton Place; then getting ready for Winterfest February 16th at the Choo-Choo. Maybe see you there?

I'll see if I can convice my wife to go to SITM, if not, I'll do it alone.

Booked my room last night. I don't know how many rooms the Best Western's got, but it sounds like it might fill up fast. I'd like to see us shark owners fill it completely. I have to admit, last year when I pulled into the parking lot and saw nothing but 928's, it was a beautiful sight.

Not even close to being booked.

Call the Best Western Mountain Lodge @ 1-877-877-4553
Ask for the Porsche 928 "Sharks" Event rate - should be $79.99 / night + tax.
There is a 2 night minimum for that rate - per the hotel. 72 hour minimum notice for cancelations.

I just spoke with Christina, and she said they still have 80 rooms available, but she booked 5 today, so at that rate, they will fill fast.

Thanks, Andrew. Just called back, asked for Christina, and got a room. Can June come quickly enough?

Sprio, I've got a buddy that lives in Signal Mountain. Works for a Budweiser distributer. I think he's a programmer. Anybody familiar?

James, I've only been here for about 14 months, having finally escaped the cold and snow in Maine. Haven't really met too many people outside of work and the local PCA. Is your buddy a Porsche owner?

No, just someone I grew up with. I just thought I'd take a stab at it since it doesn't look like a really big town.

I'll be there too (new TT, clutch and all). I'm hoping the wife will come too, but she (or Brian) would have to drive a second car since she gets so car sick and Brian will probably come with us. Hopefully nobody will be offended by her Boxster in the school of Sharks.

Can't wait to see everyone!
