We'll sure try to make the scenery as pleasant as possible John. Hey, David L. sure seems to have a big smile on his face from last year's Shiver, eh? At least one of those pics is post spun bearing too! And notice that he's wearing short sleeves? If nothing else we're sure to have lots of fun social eat, drink & greet time!

These pics are from Sebring, Daytona & a Dec. get together when Heinrich was here. Oh, and ya know John, Daytona is about 2 1/2 hours closer to ya than Sebring & right on I-95. So thats five less hours round trip if that helps any?!

Excellent!

Now who want to volunteer to be the "fuel guys" during the enduro? Need one to hold the extinguisher and the other to dump a few cans of fuel. Required to have a flame proof suit, helmet and gloves.
I have one sz40 flight suit (flight suit is OK for fueling, not driving).
Could also use a radio man for the race and enduro.

I have already told Constantine that I would love to help you guys out in any way that you are willing to trust me, as a "pit gopher" or what ever you need John! I can get a helmet if thats needed to be in the pits, don't have a fire suit or flight suit though.

John brings up some good points.

As far as the crews, depending on how many racers will be running the Enduro we may need at least 2 per car and a radio person if the racer is so equipped. We did stagger the racers refueling stop for the Enduro race (1.5 hours long) a few years back which seemed to possibly work. Only danger is if a racer has a problem and needs to come in earlier/later and interferes with another racers mandatory 5 minute refueling stop. That's why it would be better to have a dedicated crew per racer.

I have the gear needed to be one of the pit crew members and can bring along another flight suit for someone else. Fire rated helmet or balaclava and gloves will also be needed for the pit crew members. Fire extinguishers, one per car are also needed. I have one small 2.5 halon unit but will need another probably.

If anyone is interested besides Mel please speak up so we can work out these details. This would be a great way to get involved in the racing!

See everyone soon,
Constantine

What is the cost to attend this event? I can't find any pricing info on the site linked above.
Thanks

Don't think there is any cost unless the 928OC FL group is doing something special.
Mel is the best to answer this.

Bring the girl in your Avatar and I'm sure there will be many offers for her to stay for free

Quote from Constantine: "Fire rated helmet or balaclava and gloves will also be needed for the pit crew members."

We get free Greek Pastries? What is a balaclava, is that the hood thingy for under your helmet? I have a neck brace/pad from my go-Kart days if someone needs it.

On a serious note where is the Harborside for friday, do I need to bring something? Zorba..I am Greek as well?
