Where is Heinricih when you need him???

It sure loooks like that car hit something in the front. Something funky is going on with the bumper and hood, and maybe the cause for that also damaged the coolers. Does it have the front spoier and belly pan? I can't tell from these pics.

I love the color, though! Not as boring as mine...

Do GTs have auto transmissions?
Ah…no. They don’t.

Give us another day on Rennlist and we’ll have it beaten down to the price of a wheel barrel. I think the flex-capacitor might be going fer-sure. And green…who the hell would want GREEN Jesus...I'm sounding like Harvey these days

Yeah, most likely the car is pristine, just bad lighting in the picture, the owner accidentally listed the mileage including tenths, and it comes with a full tank of gas.

Wow I pity the poor soul who lists a 928 cheap on a 3 day weekend and includes their cell phone number in the ad.

Default MINE!

ALL MINE! PRECIOUS!

OK that was my lame gollum impersonation. This little 'pup is all mine however.

Quick story. Same owner (2nd) since '98 when he bough the car with 67k from Chuck Olson Chevrolet for a paltry $31k. About 6 months ago, he swerved to avoid another car and jumped a curb.

Tweaked the r/f wheel, messed up the bumper and the rad/oil cooler were destroyed. The force pushed the rad up into the hood giving it a little tweak.

He has removed the rad/oil cooler and stopped there. My plan is complete service/water pump/timing belt, etc., and then replace the rad/oil cooler and whatever else it needs. Then right to my friends bodyshop for paint.

The rest of the car is very nice and straight/clean and always lived inside. Includes books/tools/records. I think the color is called Wimbledon green like this car:

http://www.93gts.com/

I kind of like it although maybe it's called Mint or possibly Signal green, haven't looked at the paint code yet.

Knowing myself, It will have all new tires/brakes/shocks etc., before I'm done. My goal here is just to have a nice, decent driver to replace my departed '92 964 C2 and Ferrari 328GTB that both just exited the building.

Thought or suggestions are welcome. Wish me luck!

I wish that if you become tired of this '91 automatic GREEN 928, you will email me asking me to bring a check.

Here is Signal Green, or close to it:

Congratulations, kiesan!

The color is most likely wimbledon green metallic, as the other two you lited are not metallics. Wimbledon green is extremely rare on the 928...

What color is the interior?

Congrats Kiesan.

You should get in touch with "Heinricih", he may have some of the parts that you need. He also knows the 928 well.

Cheers,
Michael

Yep I'm thinking this is Wimbledon green almost for sure now. It is definitley not Signal green like was posted above. Black interior this one has.

My friend who owns an Alfa shop here in Seattle (Ralli Round) will be the main person in charge of making her roadworthy again. The boys at Gerber Motorsport and Aker's here in Seattle are also good friends. After that, off to my other friend who own Haury's Auto Collision to make it all pretty again.

A couple questions. Mark at 928 International offered up the rad out of the 37k mile wrecked '91 for $400. Thats a good deal, yes?

He also reccomended these guys:

http://www.sunsetimports.com/

...for good prices on OEM stuff such as the oil cooler I'll be needing.

I'll take pics along the way.

$400 for a radiator is a very good price. Nice looking shark, good luck with the rehab!

Congrats on getting it. I think the first thing I would do is run it past the body shop guy and make sure tis straight, then do all the repair stuff.

Default Turqoise metallic it is

True story, I own a turquoise (paint vcode L35X) car. Never thought I would say those words.

Pro date 5/22/91. Sold new 1/3/92 to someone named Mr. J. Paul at none other than the legendary Vasek Polak dealer of Hermosa Beach for $77500 US dollars. The maint book is dealer stamped up to 6/04 and 26k miles.

How weird is that... I bought it 1/3/07.

Here are some crappy pics:

http://www.redlabelmoto.com/details....&srImageID=875

Initial digging reveals a broken fan shroud as well. The oil cooler looks barely tweaked and probably saveable. The rad could also probably be saved but I think a mint used one for $400 is probably the way to go.

The shop is getting started on the timing belt, idlers, w/pump, belts, plugs, filters, cap, rotor, new battery, etc., and full service. I'll rebuild the alternator also just because and fix the leaky power steering reservoir. Relieving the tension on the flex plate seems like a good idea from what I've read which sounds like a good time for new O2 sensors.

New front rotors and pads for good measure and while I'm at it new shocks and springs. One of these Bilstein/Eibach kits seems to be the way to go for spirited street driving, yes? Alignment and ride height adjustment, obviously, are in order as well. Don't forget new tires all the way around.

Then to the body shop for bumper and hood respray. The lower valance looks to be OK miraculously.

Who wants to put a stopwatch on me? 6 weeks and I'll be driving this bad boy?

You might find the Bil/Eib a bit firm, how are the road surfaces around you?

You are clearly enjoying this too much.

A bit firm, eh? That sounds good. Seattle area roads are pretty decent all things considered.

Hey do all '90/'91 S4's come with PSD otherwise called Porsche limited-slip differential? One website says they do and the owner's manual talks about it like the car has it. It doesn't say...."if so equipped with PSD...".

But... the option code sticker does not have 221 on it, although the dashboard does have the little area for the warning light on the lower right. Haven't powered up the car yet and probably won't for at least a week.

Maybe it isn't listed on the sticker since it is standard equipment?
