Default '89 5-spd FS

Greetings, gang and Happy New Year.

Re the subject line, some of you in the Northeast may remember Dr. Scott MacDonald's white '89 5-speed...no, not a GT He went over to the dark side in '05, getting a 996 C4S.

Current owner of the 928 (not an OC member) wants to get a 560
SLC and the wife says one of his cars has to go.

I've got the service history at the shop (I maintained it via 928 Central
and after joining forces with Musante Motorsports), but can vouch for how
well Scott took care of it. Has an Accusump mounted in the nose...yes, he
did a number of DE's with the car. Let me know if want any details.

Asking price is $13.5. Car has 108K on it and is worth that price, IMHO.

Best regards,
David Lloyd

That sounds like a great price for a well maintained '89 5 spd with 108k.

Mel,
Yes I did and we are certainly bearing that possibility in mind - did the easy stuff first.
Thanks for the info.

I actually instructed Scott's 18 year old son in that car at Lime Rock several years ago. Nice car.

No pics yet. The current owner is actually selling it via a broker here in CT.

Roger, yeah, I know this is the REAL location for the truly afflicted, and have been a frequent lurker, but haven't had the time to do justice to it.

Anyway, when it comes for keeping a fine 928 from an evil demise, I'll MAKE the time

Best,
David

"Anyway, when it comes for keeping a fine 928 from an evil demise, I'll MAKE the time"

So what are you going to do about Roger's intent to convert a 928 5 speed to an automatic
