Default Broken hose under front right wheel well - what is it?

I had the car on a lift at my mechanics place to pull the side markers and we found this hose broken when we took off the wheel well liner. What is it? Thanks.

Outlier... that's the infamous plastic "Y" connector in the fuel
vapor plumbing.

See Nicole, at Hooked on Cars.

G'luck.

Yes, get the Stainless replacement from her. It's a fantastic, never do it again fix.

Btw, that's the hose that goes to the charcoal canister to absorb gas fumes. If it's broken, you'll get the wonderful smell of gasoline filling the local air.

The old famous plastic Y connector to the vapor cannister. These ALWAYS break. Nicole at www.Hookedoncars.com has a very elegant and permanent solution to this problem. Check her site or contact her about it. You are probably getting some nice gasoline fumes down there as well.

I've never noticed a gas smell in the car. Strange. Thanks for the info.

Mine was broken and I never smelt any gas odor in the car either. BTW, take the broken piece(s) to your local hardware store.... That was my solution, I think it cost all of 67 cents.

That's because I just sold my last one, and the online store software takes the listing off when inventory is depleated. I'll try to get more and post here when I have them again. I had not sold one of those in about 6 months, so I let it slide... sorry for that!

PM me, if you want one - then I have a better idea of how many we'll need.

Default Front Passenger Wheel Well hoses?

Can anyone help with these hoses?
Diameters?
Are there PSI requirements?
the blue arrrow is an 8AN 1/2 inch diameter braided stainless steel high pressure hose for oil fuel.
Any help / guidance on any of the other hoses much appreciated as I'll need to replace them.
(please note photo below is not an actual photo of my 1980 passenger wheel well)

^^ The hoses have no real pressure in them. They're just vent lines.

If anything they could carry vacuum. You just need to make sure they're fuel rated.

Here's an overengineered solution:

AN Y Block: https://www.racetronix.biz/p/y-block...ck/yblk-900606
Female AN to hose barb: https://www.racetronix.biz/p/adapter...ack/adf-6jfb38

You might have to play with the options to get the hose barb sizes right.

ETA: Here's a much cheaper solution, but you only get one hose barb size, though it's at least in metric:
Amazon Amazon

Cheers

The only problem is the hose sizes are different.
