Only one 928 this year (last year wasn't there an S4 & a GTS?)

What do you think it will sell for? Remember, no reserve

2005 auction:
1990 GT sold for $15,120
1993 GTS sold for $32,400

2004

2003
1987 sold for $18,360

2002
1984 sold for $7,560
1987 modern spyder sold for $34,000

2000

I voted 12.5 just because Barrett stuff sells high.

Hmmm...noticed no mileage is noted or am I missing something?

It is hard to guess without knowing how many miles are on it BUT if it has 50-100K Miles my guess will be $17,500.

Cool, nice to see some interest in this. Could be fun to watch, see if it makes it on TV & hear what Brock Yates and co. have to say about the 928.

If it were my car, and I was trying to get tip dollar at BJ (why else would you sell it there?) - I would have paid someone $500ish to vacuum the carpet and clean up the wheel wells.

Sunroof looks jarred open a bit.

Wannabees pay more than vehicles are worth at Barrett Jackson just to get some "face time" In front of the camera.

Mileage is the big unknown, that and NONE of those were exactly revealing pictures of the stuff most of us would be looking at. My guess is that its only part of the auction since its no reserve, something to draw in the bargain hunters, no telling how far somebody might take it, but how hard is it to find a REALLY nice 87 slushbox?

I picked $12.5k assuming it has more to offer than is obvious, either low miles or super clean and original.

22,500 since it's plum and a 5 speed on TV. Seems someone else is just as crazy as me, as I'm the second vote at $22.5K

Don't forget about the Palm Beach BJ auction too. Its growing bigger every year. There's been a few 928s sold at that one as well:

2006
1981 at $9,180

2005
1988 S4 at $30,240

2004
1993 GTS 5spd cobalt blue at $36,720
1987 S4 Strosek Wide Body at $33,480
1987 S4 at $11,340

The cobalt blue GTS is a nice looking shark in the pics. I thought there were three sharks sold last year at the Palm Beach BJ auction and at some pretty high prices. Like a 1985 for upper teens. Perhaps they were not consumated after the auction cause they only show the one 1981 928 selling now.

The combined people who picked the winning amount will be put into a hat. Winner of the drawing will win a case of Hacker-Pschorr Weiss

Assuming John D approves and all that good stuff.

Who pays the commish, buyer or seller? If buyer, why would you go this route with a common car? Just adds cost.
