I run 100/80 halogens with no problem. Our lamp housings are metal and glass and pretty large, at least on S4. And there is a lot of air between the lamp housing and the plastic pod.

Low beam is great, but Hi beam is weak. The brightness is fine, but the pattern is pretty bad. Maybe this is just a trait of the Bosch H4 unit that the Benz uses, that it doesn't like the position of the hi beam lamp or something.

US lenses (with DOT aiming nipples) or Euro lenses? Big difference.
