I looked very briefly at Iforged for my 930 but did some research and decided on HRE for the same $$$. Kinesis and also Fikse are excellent alternatives. All three represent the upper echelon for high end wheels and great customer service.

My HRE wheels were custom made for me, I sprung for the centers that were the same color as my car (Guards Red) and I had to give them the paint code accordingly. I also sprung for the Titanium fasteners as well. They told me the build time was 6+ weeks, I had them in my hand in 4 weeks. Fit and finish perfect and came pre-mounted with the Yokohoma tire of my choice, so no messing with a local tire shop that might damage them (although there is one custom tire and rim place locally I trust).

Based on your first bad experience with IForged I would kick them to the curb. Customer service is extremely important on a $10 item let alone a $7000+ item! Thanks but no thanks.

Here they are:

Just on the principle there is NO WAY I'd have their product on something that I owned so I could be free advertising for them! Just think how many people unknown to you might see your great looking shark & like those wheels, attempt to buy them or have service after they bought them, then have to deal with the nightmares you have had to endure, TWICE! I say do you part & spread the word of what you've gone thru to help others NOT have to go thru the same thing.

Obviously, they have a definate pattern of poor business policy that will be a suicidal model for their demise! There are just too many other quality wheels out there & the companies that back them up that understand that without their customers there isnt much point in them even making the product in the 1st place. Lots of great products have gone by the wayside due to the idoits that made them not getting 100% of the business picture!
I haven't been telling anyone who made the wheels because I didn't want anyone to buy from them. To say I was surprised by the outcome would not be totally true. I hoped it would be different.

How do you like the 650? Seems like a great car.
I'm looking for wheels for the BMW now. CCW, Kenesis and Forgeline are a bit to conservative for my tastes (not that I have real contemporary tastes). We LOVE the 650i, I remember a post here where someone posted their dislike for the car after having spent some time in one. I am more impressed each time I drive it.

True, I only lost some time. No $.

Haven't bought anything yet but I would definetly include them in my list of possibilites for new wheels.

Thanks but I do not care for the CCW style wheels.

The AK-Phoenix is a really nice look on Beemers.

I wonder how it would look on a new 6 Series with color-matched centers....
Yes, we have looked at the RH wheels in fact the wheel in the picture is similar to a Hartge wheel. After much consideration we ruled out RH.

As the saying goes you get what you pay for. The reason I-Forged is still in business is because people want their wheels but they don't want to pay the premium the other guys are charging. If you are patient and can deal with their BS you'll get a nice set of wheels......eventually.
Absolutely love HRE wheels but the 948R is ~$7,000 without tires so with tires the cost goes to ~$8500 and that crosses a line with me that even I can't justify.

Completely unsurprising, judging from the complaints I've read on Audiworld.

True the pricing is much higher for HRE's. You might consider setting up a group buy and getting a discount, might be enough to cover the cost of the tires if you can get enough people together.

Awesome looking car. I must admit, besides wanting to give them a second chance (I guess some people would consider this a character flaw) the iForged price was $3,800.

Chuck, Truly it comes down to this. Its just that you're a First Class Guy dealing with a Third Rate Clown! Your cars are always First Class too so we all know you'll end up with a super looking wheel on your Beemer!

I had a problem with Iforged before. I ordered a set of their Iforged Classic wheels for my BMW 850i in chrome. I had them on for about 3 months when the chrome started coming off. I contacted Vincent Wong about the problem with pictures and everything asking him how we can solve this. Well he did not reply, so I told myself not to deal with companies like that anymore, so I haven't. I hope they lose all their customers.

DINANs got some pics on their website of the new 6 with their 19" 7 spokes. Their would be no ques about fitment, and they would prob have no trouble painting them too...My exp were good dealing with them a couple years back. Sucks when you can't get what you want doesn't it???

DCR forged wheels is a very good alternative for the HRE's: http://www.dcrwheels.com/wheels.html

E forged wheels are good too: http://superbuytires.com/E%20Forged/

Asanti has a good name and great service too:
http://superbuytires.com/Asanti/

You can't go wrong with MHT either:
http://superbuytires.com/MHT/

My rim and tire guy carries all brands except Iforged due to the horrible customer service. http://www.dnjwheels.net/ Ask for Chris or John.
