Interesting idea about the clutch pedal/lockup. Not sure if I would remember to use it often enough...

Unless a person is building a stop light rocket. "the 28/05.06.08.09 stall speed is 2,200-2,600" should do the trick without having the TC modded.

Yes, but these are all 3sp autos or Euro 4sp autos. The US 4 sp are all the 1650/1750-2050/2150.

Raising the stall to 2200 is the ticket for the S4s.

Yes, I see what your saying and your right, 2200 rpm stall should do it as long as it didn't go over 2500-2600 rpms when things warmed up. I couldn’t even imagine how un-drivable a 928 would be on the street with a 3000 RPM stall.

Does anyone know the PSD slave cylinder travel when the system goes from open diff to full lock?

Also, is the PSD mechanism that the slave pushes against spring loaded or something? Does the PSD force the slave cylinder back, or does the hydraulic system do this?

There are small springs in PSD which push ball bearing back which in turn pushes fork and piston back.

I have been watching this thread with much interest. I am looking to change the gearing on my MY85 US auto to 2.54 (anyone have a set for sale? I am on Jim's wait list for a set) and installing a LSD unit I have. Jim,anyone, what do you think a good stall speed would be for the MY85?
Thanks,
Glen
