If you design the right system, you don't need to change any pulleys!

Everyone knows turbos are faster! Don't bother with superchargers.

Low blow Andrew! But having custom pulleys made is better than your engine bay looking like a bomb went off in it. That would apply to the keel system BTW! Yours looks like the robot from Lost In Space is taking a nap on your engine block! Danger Andrew Robinson! Danger!

Default Murf keeps rearing it's head!

Don't take my comment wrong I just finished my Buick T-Type with Meth inj and all the goodies and I guess I just thought the pricing would be in line. I want to do this right the first time, I have a Tdi and brought it to the edge with factory drivetrain with a PP-520's and a Ecm burn. Some members of the Tdi club are dropping in Vnt 20's and praying all the parts hold together. I want a logical approach, there will allways be a car that will beat yours but the shame of being beat by a ricer. Beside I need a liitle for suspension and brakes.

Well that leaves you with Murf or Turbosports. The twinscrew hasn't been proven on the '85-86, other than Andy Keel kits. Murf has just recently finished a kit for the '85-86, and if it is anything like the prototype I had well worth what he charges. Turbosports was "Designed" on an '86 so you are guarenteed it is gonna fit and work as advertised on your '85.

I haven't seen a '85-'86 running Murfs' kit either but I am aware that it has happened and knowing how Tim operates, am quite sure it is a good one.

I am building my own S/C unit this winter, here in Ohio. I think that half of the fun is figuring things out. It also makes it easier that I have full access to a weld shop and Machine shop though.

I should have specified"any 928 besides the prototype" I'M not knockin' Mark but there was alot of hype and order taking going on months back. Poor Abby would have been better off selling his engine and using the money to hire 20 mexicans to push him and his car around town. None of my business though.

I understand the practical aspect of a SC, but I think the spirit of the 928 wants something NA and high rpm. High rpm does get expensive kind of fast though.

I thought this thread might explode earlier today, but it's about 8 hours later and I think we're all still alive.

Drive on!
