Default May need someone in the Kansas City area to look at a car - have a PPI done

My father who is a former 928 owners (manditory 928 content ) has his eye on this jewel:

Once I hear from my father that he is really interested in the car (so far this might be the ride) I need to find someone in KC area to take the car to Aristocrat Motorcars for a PPI.

The day they release the 2007 schedule, I plan on blocking off at least 10 rooms at a nearby hotel. This way if anyone from out of town would like to come, I'll have acomidations. Tim can only host for so many. Next year I'm thinking about trying to have a tech day at Tim's house. I'm shooting big since this year the party was very last minute, we still had 50ish people attend (20 sharks?).

Sterling,
He's been bouncing between various Ferrari's, the new V8 Vantage, BMW Z8, and an NSX for the past year. I tried to steer him into a GTS or a Testarossa, not happening. He keeps saying this is his "last" car - kinda depressing to hear that, but I know what he means. He keeps teasing me that I'm bringing up cars I would want since some day it will most likely end up being mine.

Erik, your request is the equivalent of asking a <insert fav car here> owner to do a PPI on a 928 CS; nothing meaningful will come of it except for maybe you'll get 'it's a cool looking car, and, since the oil is topped off, the car has obviously been well-maintained!' comment.

I would ask the Ferrari board the same question.

Swaybar,
You're forgetting the all-important road test. I nominate the two of us to do this next year!

Extensive recent service (receipts in excess of $40,000 over past 24 months)
Not that this is really news, but still, wow!

I'm simply looking for someone in this group (hopefully someone I or someone else knows) to "baby-sit" the car for a PPI at a dealership I know I can trust. If someone in Florida were looking at a Lamborghini in Green Bay (yes there are a few) there are a few 928'ers up here capable of handling this request in reverse. Not to mention a good visual look over - there are some very picky car inspectors in this group.

I am also on the Ferrari board, problem is, I don't know anyone over there.

The stereo not working has my puzzled - something this simple that was never looked at? Electrical issues on a Ferrari, not something I would want to deal with.

Hacker,

tell him to forget the NSX. I just test drove an '02 and was rather dissapointed. It was close to the price of the 355 and although i've never driven the F, I'm sure it's a more enjoyable experience.

As a 15 plus year 928 owner, I have to admit that I'm not easily impressed but some Ferrari's (355 being my favorite) are just so beautiful, you can't help but be impressed. My understanding is that the 355 will make 928 maintenance appear honda-esque.

Ahem, Erik. About that Ferrari. I'm sure that car is good-to-go; get your pops on it and ship that bad-boy. Andrew and I will tend to the dirty-work afterwards.

If you want a hand babysitting this at Aristocrat, I would be glad to help depending on when you need it done. I'm heading to Chicago Thursday for the Wings/Hawks game and won't be back until Sunday night.
I'm rather new & unknown to the 928 brotherhood, but I have all my 928 work done at Imagine Auto in KC and I've spent my share of money at Aristocrat on my Rover. Hell, they may do a PPI for free after they look up what I've spent with them! Hah!
I know Aristocrat has a valet service, would they be willing to pick it up and do a PPI?
Anyways, if it fits my schedule, I'd be more than happy to help.
