Did you sharp eyed guys also notice the concrete forms in place for JWises new 12 car garage to house the new baby?

Nice car! Doesn't look like detailing will be a struggle, especially if the rest is like the engine.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

I feel very fortunate to have found such a nice example. Velvet Red has always been one of my favorite colors, right up there with Amazon Green and Midnight Blue. The lack of side moldings was icing on the cake.

She had 77k miles when I picked her up, and I've put another 1k on since purchase. I previously had a similar mileage 90GT which was really nice, but this one's even better. It won't take too long to complete a full detail, mainly the wheel wells and underside. My desire is to take this beautiful example of the marque and make it even better, while keeping it stock or easily returnable to stock.

Andre- The "for sale" sign is for the new home under construction next door. She didn't cost THAT much.

Garth- 12 car garage next door? I wish, and while I'm dreaming , let's go ahead and add a four post lift and a floor drain!

SharkSkin- A downturn in personal finances led to the sale of my previous 928, a corresponding upturn with appropriate stabilization has brought my return. The only car I've ever REALLY wanted is a 928. I know for some it's a Corvette, Mustang, etc., but for me it's always been the '28.

Well, gotta go to work now so I can pay to play. Thanks again everyone!

"...but for me it's always been the '28."
...once bitten.....
If you were holding out for an unmodified, unmolested GT in that condition, in that color w/out side molding, I can understand why it took you so long to get back to 928 ownership. If that engine bay is an indication of the condition of the rest of the car, what a find!
I'm surprised that you found this in Indiana. There are a few guys who seem to know of every 928 that comes along, who are right there in Indiana.
Great find. Welcome back, and welcome to GT ownership!

Whatever happened to Brian Buxton? He was in Indiana and used to be able to lay his hands on ultra-clean 928s.

That's one of two who I was thinking of. Brian did me right by finding mine several years ago. I thought that I'd found every one that was out there, but he came up with several that weren't on the radar screen.
He's apparently still doing what he was doing years ago; now a Panoz guy as well. He really knew 928s & GT's back then, but I'm not sure he's following the 928 market/community like he used to.

I knew he was doing The Panoz Thing. Good to know, though, that he's still following his dream
