Porsche Testarosa?

I bought some wider wheels for this car a few days ago. I haven't gotten them but here is what they look like.
My friend Heinrich should feel some satisfaction. I didn't consider black wheels until he recomended it.
I think its a good deal. I have been doing some more body work. I have also been doing some more PS concepts as to the finished product. Heres the latest concept. What say you?

My .928 cents...
There needs to be some flow in the lines. Three quick examples not to follow, but to guide, if you will. I kinda like the F 360 pre-rear wheel scoop thing in the last pic. It would take a bit of glassing up, but could be made.
You are stuck (for the most part) with the fender flares, rockers and bird beak on the upper part of the door. "Led eet flow Mon!"

Heinrich, I haven't gotten the wheels in my sweaty little hands yet. I just thought I would share. BTW, your package shipped on Thursday.
Kieth, thanks for the ideas. That 360 is pure hotness.
Anyone else want to chime in?

I have been continuing on the same path with the body mods. Let me tell you, epoxy is a PITA. I have traced out and repaired some electrical issues. The door panels are off, rebuilt, reshaped and awaiting leather and speakers. I built them out around the speakers for an additional inch of depth. This should allow two nice sized speakers in each upper door panel. I will post pics of the door panels later. In the meantime, here are the sports seats that I purchased for this car. They are 35lbs w/ hardware so they should save about 70lbs total.

I just wanted to let everyone know. Its now official. I am the new owner of the Porsche-terossa. I drove over 11 hours to see the darn thing. Its in worse shape than it looks in the pictures but I think it has potential. Maybe someone can photoshop some things for me. I wanna remove the two center side strakes and put an air intake in the leading edge of the rear fenders. This would look similar to the black Las Vegas Koenig. Can anyone try that for me. I would also like to see what it would look like if the strakes were filled in and the curve was followed fron the top of the arch all the way down to the rocker.
Thanks. I'll keep this thread updated or start a new one once I get the beast home. I am currently in a Holiday Inn in Charleston WV. It was kinda cool to see how many things were built differently on the 78 model versus my 84. BTW, this thing has no sunroof

OK. I came back from Puerto Rico to find two big @$$ boxes waiting for me. These seats are really nice looking. I had to put them together but that didn't take too long. I took the old seats out of my 84 and weighed them and I weighed the new seats. The new seats weigh 29.5 lbs each. This is a weight savings of 49 lbs total. Sweet!!! I have the passenger seat bolted in and will get the drivers side bolted in today. When test sitting in the passenger side I felt that the seat is sitting up higher. I think this is due to the new foam vs my old tired seats. This could be a problem because in the past I had to lower my seat all the way to keep from brushing the top of the car w/ my head. The 84 is just a test fit, If I like them alot, I will buy another set. If not, the height problem will be better in the widebody because it has no sunroof. What have others done to modify their seat brackets? I was going to take them out and channel them about 1/2" to 3/4" but they are welded in. I don't want to start cutting them out with my interior in place. Are they just plug welded? I haven't really got in there with a scraper to see exactly whats going on.
Pics coming soon.

Heres some progress pics of the side vents. If you look back in the beginning of this thread you can see what the car used to look like. I think it's looking alot better.
1. cutting the vent
2. removing the fiberglass
3. Cutting & shaping the foam w/ a hacksaw
4. A preliminary view of the left side vent before it was completely cut
5. A wider view of the same side, still not opened up as much as I wanted.
6. The right side vent after I got it opened up to where I wanted.
Sorry, I didn't have a good pic of the left vent after opening it up all the way so I had to use a pic of the right side. After shaping the foam I tested a cut fiberglass impregnated resin on the inside of the vent. It seems to work well so this is most likely what I will be using to finish the inside of the vents. Next comes the cutting of the back of the vent and molding a nipple to accept the air duct.
Let me know what you think.
