Default Porsche Testarosa?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem

As a body kit, I kinda like it. Gives the rear flares dimension, but stock tires--- So??? why bother???, and it is a '78. No HP, no mechanicals, very minimal. Interior is incomplete and badly done. Says "dealer" like that is an asset. If he had finished it, maybe that would be true.

Saw that listing - the front doesn't look like it fits correctly - the drivers headlight looks really sunken. Interior looks really bad - i like the door upholstery

Too much Miami Vice influence for my tastes. I prefer something a bit more subtle.

It has an S-4 rear end, thats a plus.
No stereo= negative.
1978 = negative
5-speed = plus
High Mileage = negative
widebody kit = Plus
Stock wheels and tires = negative
And as we all know, red ones are faster

Actually, that's not the stock S4 rear end. If you take a look, the lights are a little bit lower vs. the light placement on the factory bumper cover.

I'm not a fan of the Testa look, but if I were to get that car, I'd modify the vents to look more like the Phat 928 car.

Stock wheels gotta go...

The red ones are a little bit faster, but adding yellow decals increase the power by 10% (for each decal).

I think it's an eye catcher. I would upgrade the wheels to give it a more modern up to date look

Jim, they DO still have the molds...ALL of them! LOL Those hdious front fenders that were on my cabriolet came from them. I called them over the summer and they will pop out a pair if anyone wants.

Interesting kit though. I'm not offended by it as it looks more modern than most. You won't see it on my cars though.

I just wanted to let everyone know. Its now official. I am the new owner of the Porsche-terossa. I drove over 11 hours to see the darn thing. Its in worse shape than it looks in the pictures but I think it has potential. Maybe someone can photoshop some things for me. I wanna remove the two center side strakes and put an air intake in the leading edge of the rear fenders. This would look similar to the black Las Vegas Koenig. Can anyone try that for me. I would also like to see what it would look like if the strakes were filled in and the curve was followed fron the top of the arch all the way down to the rocker.

Thanks. I'll keep this thread updated or start a new one once I get the beast home. I am currently in a Holiday Inn in Charleston WV. It was kinda cool to see how many things were built differently on the 78 model versus my 84. BTW, this thing has no sunroof
