Haha ... well, if we ever make it to the same watering hole, it would be my absolute pleasure to spot the first round .... mind you, it may take more than one round ...

Well, I bought a set of 8 and 9" CS wheels from Mark at 928Intl, and he had them sent out to be reanodized. I'm pretty happy with the result, they look great. I was so focused on the wheels that I honestly didn't even notice that the tires on the rims are brand-new H-rated Goodyear Eagle HR all seasons- anyone in SoCal need some snow tires cheap? I did NOT end up drilling holes in them for RDK sensors....
Of course, I also bought a set of GT wheels (in the boxes) as well, to replace the crappy chrome D90's that came on the car. Do ya think the wife will notice how many sets of wheels and tires are in the garage? This is starting to feel like an addiction of sorts.......

ROB, your garage looks worse then mine did!
Nice wheels, i like the, and what.....no snow in CA, you gotta be kidding me!
Glad you got the CS wheels, i much prefer them to the D90's, and I much prefer the anodized CS wheels to the polished ones ive seen. Although you may need to paint to match the wheel centers. You may get lucky and find a good auto paint to match the anodized look of the wheels. I am sure your probably deliberating on this now.
So you bought another set of GT wheels, so you have what the original D90's, another set of D90's that you just bought and the CS wheels?

Ryan-
I now have the original chromed D90's, a nice set of painted (OEM) D90's, and the CS wheels.
I will have to figure out whether I can refinish the chromed rims in order to sell them, or just sell them as is.
The garage is getting pretty bad. There's no storage space in this house at all, so it's all piled high around the car. You may be able to see the reflection on the right side of the sunroof- Dangling from the ceiling is a restored hardtop from a 1962 Corvette. All I need is one good earthquake and the shark will be hurtin'.....

Hi Rob,
Great wheels, thanks for posting fotos.
You are getting close to that point.
My wife noticed when I had 23 wheels and tires around the place; even though I had distributed them between the garage, cellar and attic (only 8 were 928 wheels...)

How much to re-anodize? I have a couple of sets. (4-9's and a set of 8's and 9's) I'd like to do that to.

The re-anodizing was $130 per wheel, or $520 total. I should have taken before photos, they look a million times better now.

Here are mine, polished. Lots of work to polish, I am just going to wax them and quit while I'm behind. Maybe next year powdercoat or anodize.

Well, I couldn't resist putting them on the car today, since it was quite nice out. I put a coat of carnuba wax on them and managed to get them quite swirly- turns out more wax applied by hand gets a more even coat. They buffer out clean enough. I also got a pair of 15mm spacers from Mark, as the factory GT spacers are a bit, uh, dear.
Here are some shots:
