Default Bosch Fuel injectors from a BMW? Will these work?

Ive got 3 sets of Bosch III (4 pindle) fuel injectors from 1995 plus BMW V8's.

I was going to just sell these as BMW parts but I am curious if they will work on the 928, and replace the stock single pindle unit injectors that i have on the GT engines. Can someone cross refrence a bosche number to find out specs, lb/hr and what not. Physically they are the same size and shape, so they will physically fit but i dont know if they are 14lb or 19lb, like the 928's

There are 3 numbers on the injectors:

D3763FA
1747406

and 0215 which is the only number thats different between one set and the other.

Anyone have any idea on the specs of these?

Most all the Bosch are high impedance, ~ 14.5 ohms .... which is correct for the 928 ( actually, I have not seen any low impedance Bosch): the 19#/hr size for the S4 are usually issued by Bosch in a yellow/orange colour. The standard OEM issue is a traditional single pintle type .... the Bosch Design II and III are not a pintle type ... they utilize a disc plate 'valve' that controls the four orfices.

I have fitted the 19# Desigh II to a S4 - the design III body would appear to interchange, but I haven't tried. BTW, the O-ring size is different for 928's.

These guys have a lot of data on their site

Something to consider would be buying a matched set of injectors where somebody has flow tested a bunch and puts similar flowing injectors into sets.

I am preparing for a intake job and been thinking about getting new injectors instead of cleaning the old ones. Has anyone bought for these guys http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injec...sPORSCHEVW.asp for a 87-91? Price looks pretty good.

Hey now, it lists 944 Turbo injectors as 36#. Are these a direct fit for a later 928?

Howdy Aryan

I got a full set of injectors for my 1980US for what was an exceptionally good price (delivered to Canada) and was very happy with the results. I would deal with them again.

here is a link for all kinds of injectors, pay attention to colors, its is a good guide
http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm#tabtop
Just a caveat , I had a time with 5 0 they didnt send me the correct injectors 3 times.
I asked for the ford/bosch 4 hole type II ,I got a set of all plastic ( yellow in color) type III ( 330.00) they were 19lb BUT they didnt have the clip slot in the upper portion to secure the injector to the fuel rail, This is a fire hazard as there wont be anything for the clip to hold onto and the injector can possibly be pushed into the intake mounting area thus unseating the injector from the fuel rail.
Second set looked like a type II but was a single hole.(330.00)
Third set was also a type II but was a rose colored and that equated to a 22 lb injector with a 4 hole tip. (320.00)

Forgot to add after all was said and done i did recieve a ful refund for all of the money spent including returning 3 sets of injectors, so they do have good customer service after the fact

I finally got a clean used set from an E bay vendor for less than half the price 165.00

I also got my injectors from Five-O....the 19lb "Ford Racing" yellow top 4 pintle design....they work great...except for the lower O ring is too small....which will cause a massive airleak (as me how I know)

Actually Bosch makes injectors with several different impedances and pintle types.

Maybe from size, but they are low impedance. There are other 36 lbs available on the site.
