Haven't cats improved enough to make a new high flow design worth trying anyway? I've been eyeballing the Magnaflow (who make a lot of cats sold under other names) as one of the early need it or not changes. Some other brand also looked good, rocket, reactor, something like that, lots of the turbo guys seem to like it.

Glad to see you got the car smogged here are my results on the 88 - 5 speed. Looking forward to seeing your car with the intercooler installed

Car is running great back in stock form. I even did a surprisingly nice burnout leaving the test facility.

Here is my last smog check in april of this year.....the car was not fully warm....& sat for about 45 minutes BEFORE the smog tech tested it?
RPM %C02 %02 HC (PPM) CO% NO(PPM)
max ave meas max ave meas max ave meas
15mph 1376 14.4 .7 110 31 107 .71 .10 .24 772 237 211
25mph 1929 14.5 .3 85 20 43 .59 .09 .37 711 199 56

So what does all this mean.....my guess is it was running a touch rich since it was cold...everything else looks fine? Odd that mine has more HC (rich) & CO% (??) but you have more NO (lean) On mine the HC and CO% were far higher than the last time I smogged it (8-04)..but that was on the old test...so its hard to compare
