Brendan, Yes it uses the 993TT 2-piece rotor. No need for any extra clearance. It was a pretty much "bolt-on " for me since my car is an 81 and already had the correct spindles. The calipers I used were from a stock 88 S-4. I can't imagine anyone needing the "Big Red" or GTS brakes since the S-4 setup in my car will launch you like a rocket thru the windshield if you aren't strapped in! BTW, in my experience NONE of the 928 vendors here would sell you something if they even had the slightest thought that it could hurt you. As a matter of fact, I think they do a fantastic job of stopping some of us from doing "iffy" or dangerous things.
Does the S4 pad area not match the 993TT rotor area? Such that the rotor has ridges in it at the top and bottom of the swept area?

Some 951 guys have made very nice brackets so they can run GT3 brakes, which are the same weight as our BBs, but very much larger.
