Well here it is. Brought it home a few weeks ago. 54,000 miles and pretty much blemish free. I never had the chance to drive a new 928 when they were being sold new, but I suspect they felt about like this one. It has the 160 watt 10 speaker CR-1 with 6 disc changer. It's the 26 step Polar Silver Metallic paint with supple leather seats and red piping, which some shmuck died black. The only thing not original are the 18" twists and the RMB I installed when I brought it home. sounds nice. The original 17" cup wheels came with it. It's much too low but it looks so cool I'm taking my time getting it adjusted back up. I have all the maintenance receipts since day one and most of the biggies have been done, except for motor mounts.
The first picture is from the fun ride at Shartoberfest this year. One of our Road Warriers almost got a flying lesson.

I'd say it's way low, and probably has the same bump steer I experienced when mine was like that. Raise it properly, have it realigned, and it'll be even better than you say it is now.
Also, when it's too low, you have high potential of hitting the AC compressor on a bump. If that happens, the attachment brackets can break off the block, and you have a defective GTS block. Not a desirable situation...

Damn Nicole, your such a killjoy. I'm gonna put hydraulics under it and come over and give you a heart attack. I know you're right of course, and I'm being extra careful.
Sounds like a plan Bill. We'll have to picka time.

I guess I'm not too good at telling ride height from pictures. The rear looks OK to me and there is a small gap over the front tire. Maybe not stock, but not terribly low. Easy to measure. Get a short cm ruler. From behind the front wheel, measure the distance from the bottom of the rear lower A-arm bracket to ground. The actual measuring point is inside the bracket, between its two walls - much harder to measure unless you are on a 4-post lift. But just add 10mm to what you get from the outside of the bracket at it's lowest point and you will be right on. My guess - you are 135 in front. That's low, by about an inch. Well, the lower limit of normal is 170mm, but I run 150 and most people think my car is high - I have two fingers gap over the front wheels. Anyway, measure the front and let us know what it is.
The rear is easier to measure. Here is the spot.
What bothers me more from your pics is the rear wheels - they are out pretty far.

When I finally took my car in to DEVEK and had Marc do the proper adjustments, my car went from a harsh ride and terrible handling to smooth in all respects - even though we dcided to leave it a hint under factory spec.
Lesson learned...

Yeah, that should be true. One oddity - George is running about 115 mm - damage zone, for sure, not recommended - but his car rides like a dream and handles beautifully.
